The Luca John Fund

Program Information

The Luca John Fund (LJF) program is dedicated to supporting grieving families in need. We provide financial assistance for funeral expenses for children who have passed away 12 months or younger regardless of cause, as well as emotional support.

As one of the only national non-goverment funded organizations that specifically deals with financial assistance for infant loss we understand the unique situation you are experiencing.

LJF Story and Mission

On November 10, 2006, Luca was born with a lethal form of skeletal dysplasia called short rib-polydactyly syndrome. When Luca was first diagnosed, his parents searched tirelessly for a way to save him. They found none. As a result, he died in their arms 90 minutes after his birth. In his memory, Luca’s parents started The Luca John Foundation, which is dedicated to curing skeletal dysplasia and supporting grieving families in need. The Luca John Foundation has now merged with The Tears Foundation to become the Luca John Fund and continues to offer this much needed service to grieving families.
